Semantic search across your entire library
Your best ideas are trapped inside your books. You highlighted it. You just can't find it anymore.
Every year you collect hundreds of highlights across Kindle, PDFs, borrowed library books, and notes apps — each locked in its own silo, with no way to search across all of them at once.
The result: a Notion graveyard of decontextualised quotes, Kindle exports rotting in a downloads folder, and the slow realisation that most of what you read has simply vanished from memory.

The Kindle annotation UI buries your highlights three taps deep, exports them as a plain-text file with no structure, and gives you no way to search across books. Libby borrows expire and take your notes with them. My Notion was a graveyard of copy-pasted quotes with no context.
AfterWord started as a script to parse my Kindle exports. It's now the single place where everything I've ever highlighted lives — searchable, tagged, and actually retrievable.
Your highlights deserve to be remembered.
